Providing Business continuity to critical applications
Over the past 15 to 20 years we’ve seen a major evolution in IT infrastructure and how it is managed.
We moved away from this first to a virtual cluster model, increasing system resiliency and flexibility and later adding cloud orchestration tools to further automate processes.
Today, we’re witnessing the natural extension of those cloud technologies outside of the data center to the edge to optimize system latency, workload proximity and UX.
All of these shifts have brought tremendous productivity gains with IT being able to be more agile and responsive to business needs, but this decoupling of physical and virtual IT infrastructure adds a bit more complixity to the task of managing the power chain with higher power densities and more volatile loads.
Eaton was the first manufacturer to recognize this trend and its impacts on OT and has developed an Intelligent Power Solution Architecture to address the accompanying challenges.
